California, Nevada & The West
The three western states of California, Nevada and Arizona comprise a vast are of such diverse attractions, some natural, some man-made, that the first visit is unlikely to be the last. Palm Springs
Situated inland from the Pacific Coast, Palm Springs, a lush oasis nestling in a desert landscape, has enjoyed popularity and notoriety since it was discovered by the Hollywood stars back in the 1930Æs. A truly marvellous dry climate, with clear blue skies almost every day, allows the sun-worshipers to relax, yet encourages the energetic to enjoy the tramway up Mt San Jacinto, and the natural wonders of Joshua Tree National Monument or play golf on a variety of different courses.

Las Vegas
As one of only two manmade objects visible to astronauts in space Las Vegas has always been exceptional. Today, the Strip, the undisputed entertainment capital of the world, is undergoing the profound change with the opening of increasingly fantastic theme hotels such as Excalibur, Luxor, Treasure Island and MGM Grand to more traditional giants like CaesarÆs Palace, Circus Circus and the Mirage. Gambling still comes in all its guises and shows are more varied than ever before, but today Las Vegas is challenging Disney as a leading family attraction.
